Event: In Which I Hang Out with New Urbanists, on a Bench

The new edition of Human Transit, whose preface you can read here, has expanded sections that will be interesting to architects, urban designers, and others who hang out under the banner of the Congress for the New Urbanism.  There’s a very important chapter on the consequences of development choices, and I also fill in more detail about why, 20 years ago, I was never able to join many New Urbanists in their enthusiasm for new streetcars in the US.

Tuesday, February 6, at 9 AM US Pacific Time, I’ll hang out on a virtual park bench with Rob Steuteville, who edits the Congress for the New Urbanism’s Public Square.  This webinar includes a short presentation from me on some key themes from the book that are relevant to architects, urban designers and developers, and then lots of time for discussion.  Register here!
